In an odd twist of history repeating itself, Britney Spears was involuntarily committed to a facility by her conservators in April. In 1961 Marilyn Monroe was committed unknowingly by her psychiatrist Dr. Marianne Kris to the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Hospital.
